HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnosis is often associated with the strange and mysterious. In fact, it is a totally natural state of mind. We will all experience the hypnotic state many times during the day without realising it. Like daydreaming. Have you ever been driving your car and suddenly realised you don’t remember the last few minutes? This is because we are powered by our subconscious mind, and you were still fully in control of the vehicle. If in an emergency you needed to suddenly brake, your conscious mind would automatically take over and react to the situation immediately, bringing you back to the present. With hypnosis, we are able to access our subconscious mind.
Hypnosis is not sleep, or mind control. It is a totally natural, safe state of mind. You are always in control. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis. It is focused consciousness. You can hear at all times. The worst that can happen in a session is you can fall asleep.
Hypnosis is a powerful therapy for implementing change within a person’s life. In fact, we could describe hypnosis as, the practice of promoting healing and positive development. Hypnosis is a form of psychotherapy. The aim is to re-programme patterns of behaviour within our mind that have a detrimental effect on our lives, allowing us to overcome irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions.
The sub-conscious mind is the feeling mind. Hypnosis can help you become aware of the feeling or emotion that is connected to your issue. When you allow this to happen, you are well on your way to making permanent change!
