YOGA FLOW
What to Expect in a Flow Yoga Class;
Flow Yoga, also known as Vinyasa Yoga, is a more dynamic and energising style of yoga, compared with Hatha Yoga. It links breath with movement. In each class, you can expect a thoughtfully-sequenced series of poses that flow smoothly from one to the next, creating a moving meditation that helps to build strength, flexibility, balance, and focus.
We usually begin with a few moments of grounding, followed by gentle warm-up to prepare the body. From there, we move into a series of flowing postures — sometimes called “vinyasa flows”, that might include standing poses, balances, twists, backbends, and seated stretches. Each movement is guided by the rhythm of your breath, encouraging a sense of calm and presence throughout the practice.
The class winds down with cooling poses and finishes with a period of deep relaxation (savasana), leaving you feeling refreshed, centred, and connected.
Flow Yoga is suitable for a wide range of abilities, and modifications are always offered so you can practise at a level that feels right for you. Whether you’re looking to improve your physical fitness, reduce stress, or simply enjoy a mindful hour of movement, Flow Yoga offers something for everyone.
